Who Wore What? 50th Annual Grammy Awards. (2/10/08)

Carrie Underwood – eh I don’t like this look.

Miley Cyrus: Cute and age appropriate. I don’t like how her face looks though. Too much makeup.

Rihanna: Not to be mean but she looks bad. I don’t like her hair and this dress is terrrible.

Alicia Keys: Another let down in my opinion. What is she carrying? a mini football? just kidding, I know it is some kind of clutch, whatever it is, it’s not cute.

Faith Hill: Classy!

Beyonce: ick. Always tacky.

Fergie: Not too bad compared to some of the other folks but a bit boring.

Nelly Furtado: I rarely like this cut of dress on anyone & this is no exception. Tacky jewelry too.

more to come…

Hopefully there will be some more positive things to say later.

Hef's Girls Score Another Playboy Cover.

Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson — better known as Hugh Hefner’s trio of blonde girlfriends from E!’s “The Girls Next Door” reality series — will appear for the third time on the cover of Playboy.

“It kinda happened by accident,” Hefner told The Associated Press. “It was not the original plan. I knew we were overdue for a cover featuring the girls. For our annual sexiest celebrities list, we always get votes from readers on the Internet of who should be on the top of the list. Lo and behold, as the votes were coming in, we found the girls moving up higher and higher on the list.”

Madison, Marquardt and Wilkinson will be featured together in three different covers for the “25 Sexiest Celebrities” issue. In the newsstand edition cover image, out Feb. 8, the women are clad in glittery lingerie in front of a starry backdrop.

“To be perfectly frank, I have unexpectedly fallen in love,” Hefner said of his ongoing relationship with the three women. “It is the relationship with Holly that will probably last forever. The others will last for as long as they want it to last before going on with their careers and lives.”

Among the celebrities to make Playboy’s list are Jennifer Love Hewitt, Alicia Keys, Cameron Diaz, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. Hefner said the top three online celebrity vote-getters were Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba, with “The Girls Next Door” coming in fourth place.

“Yes, there was some favoritism involved,” Hefner joked. “I know them personally.”

mod-253305_madonnatourpic.jpg

Madonna, 49, tops Forbes’ first-ever ‘Cash Queens of Music’ list of the highest-earning female musicians, after she banked $72m between June 2006 and June 2007.

The material girl earned much of that from her landmark Confessions tour, the highest grossing tour for a female artist, which earnt $260m worldwide.

Superstar songstresses Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion followed, taking home $60m and $45m respectively, while Latin sensation Shakira sashayed her way to the number four spot after earning $38m.
Britney Spears, who snagged a spot on the list at number 14, realised most of her profits from old hit songs and surprisingly strong sales of her perfume, Curious, which grossed more than $55m in 2006.

  2. Barbra Streisand – $60m

Thinking about a Celebrity Diet?

ricki.jpgThe First Annual Best and Worst Celebrity Diet List of 2007 today named the celebrities who are the best and worst role models for sustainable weight loss. The list is presented by Marc Lawrence, M.D., who reviews celebrity diets and celebrity weight at http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com

“This year’s crop of celebrity diets proves the adage ‘you are what you eat,’” said Dr Marc. “Diets full of fruits and veggies, coupled with healthy lifestyle activities including walking, hiking and biking have fueled some of Hollywood’s biggest makeovers.”

The Best Celebrity Diet List for 2007:

  • 4. Jessica Simpson: Jessica got back her daisy dukes, shedding 25 lbs on a 5 Factor diet of lean protein, good carbs, healthy fats and fiber along with circuit and weight training.
  • 3. Andrea Baptiste: She lost 56 lbs on The Biggest Loser and has since dropped another 8 pounds, proving not all weight loss reality TV contestants gain weight back. She continues to “lose” by daily walking and running along with a low fat and low refined-carbohydrate diet.
  • 2. Lenny Clarke: The Rescue Me star has rescued himself, losing 144 lbs with the help of Weight Watchers and a diet of salads, fresh fruit and fish along with swimming and biking.
  • 1. Ricki Lake: A former serial and yo-yo dieter, Ricki downsized from 250 lbs in 1991 to her present svelte 123 lbs by using a food delivery service to limit calories, daily hiking and frequent weigh-ins.

And the Worst Celebrity Diets for 2007:

  • 4. Kirstie Alley: It’s time for Kirstie to call Jenny collect. Processed sugars fuel cravings which may make her diet difficult to stick with.
  • 3. Dr. Phil McGraw: Is the tough-love author of The Ultimate Weight Loss Solution obese? Recent reports of his weight gain show even self-help gurus have trouble following their own advice.
  • 2. Beyonce and Ashanti: Divas shouldn’t let divas do the Master Cleanse (aka the Lemonade Diet). Fasting “detox” diets wreak havoc on the metabolism and when stopped, more calories are stored as fat, so you not only re-gain weight but become proportionally fatter.
  • 1. Britney Spears: Junk food and a quick-fix lifestyle of diet pills and energy drinks caught up with her at the recent Video Music Awards and had everyone thinking “Give Me Less.”

Buy a Celebrity Corset for Charity.

corsette.jpg

Burlesque performer and pin-up Dita Von Teese has a new claim to fame — designer of the most expensive corset in Hollywood.

A white corset covered with crystals and sporting a tail of pink feathers designed by Von Teese raised $20,000 at an annual auction of celebrity-designed corsets on Friday held by lingerie chain Frederick’s of Hollywood.

This topped the record $18,000 that a corset from Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron fetched last year, a spokeswoman for Frederick’s said.

Von Teese, 35, who was married to rocker Marilyn Manson, has achieved some notoriety in the fetish world as a tightlacer. By wearing a corset for many years, she had trimmed her natural waistline to a reported 21 inches.

In total the auction raised $120,000.

Behind Von Teese’s corset was an $11,000 sale of a champagne-colored number with platinum glass beading that was dreamed up by actress Scarlett Johansson.

Other corsets were designed by singer Beyonce Knowles, Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani.

The auction benefited Clothes Off Our Back, a non-profit group founded by actors Jane Kaczmarek and Bradley Whitford which sells celebrity clothes to raise money that will help improve the lives of children.

Beyonce Best Dressed????

beyoncekno_400.jpg

Looking for someone to pattern your fashion sense after?

You may want to look to the high style of stars like Beyonce, Katie Holmes, Jessica Biel or Gwen Stefani, as those lovely ladies are among People magazine’s 10 Best Dressed Stars of 2007.

From classic chic, to girl next door glam, People’s top 10 list covers a wide array of Hollywood style.

Following is People’s list of The 10 Best Dressed Stars of 2007:

Beyoncé Knowles – The Showstopper
Cameron Diaz – The Legs
Katie Holmes – The Classic
Penélope Cruz – The Continental
Jessica Biel – The All-American
Drew Barrymore – The Chameleon
Jennifer Lopez – The Glamour Girl
Reese Witherspoon – The Celeb Next Door
Gwen Stefani – The Trendsetter
Ali Larter – The Newcomer

People magazine senior editor Galina Espinoza talked to Access Hollywood about some of this year’s choices.

“Katie Holmes is one of the most remarkable style evolutions. She’s always very simple, very elegant and her clothes fit her perfectly,” Galina said

Then there’s Reese, whose style saw a big boost fresh off her split with Ryan Phillippe.

“All of a sudden she gets divorced and she’s va-va-va-voom on the red carpet,” Galina noted. “But when you look at her, you think ‘Hey, I can look like her too!’”

THE GUYS: When it comes to the men, stars like David Beckham, Johnny Depp, Terrence Howard, Brad Pitt and George Clooney set the male style standard, according to People.

THE COUPLES: And while some stars shine on their own, People’s Best Dressed Couples include Brad & Angelina, Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale, Halle Berry & Gabriel Aubry and Tony Parker & Eva Longoria as those who shine even brighter when they’re together.

MISSED THE MARK: Of course, you can’t have the good without the bad. On the opposite end of the star style spectrum is Bond beauty gone bad Eva Green, who People dubbed the world’s worst dressed star of 2007.

“She was a major ‘What were you thinking?’ every time she stepped out,” Galina said of Green.

STYLE SHOCKERS: Then there are the fashion moments the stars would probably prefer we forget. Britney’s shaved head, Sanjaya’s infamous po-hawk and Cameron Diaz’s handbag that caused a controversy in Peru are just a few of the low lights from People’s Most Shocking Style Moments of the Year.

The double-issue of People magazine featuring the Best & Worst Dressed of 2007 hits newsstands on Friday. For more, visit People.com.
