NATALIE Portman has been named The Best Dressed Lady of 2007.
The Closer star topped the list compiled by InStyle magazine of the world’s most stylish women, beating off stiff competition from Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Sienna Miller.InStyle’s Katrina Szish said: “Natalie Portman is one of those celebrities who has natural beauty, but she also knows what looks good on her.”
Drew Barrymore was placed second, while her Charlie’s Angels co-star Cameron Diaz came third.
Penelope Cruz came fourth and pregnant Jennifer Lopez was given fifth place for the stylish way she has dressed her ever-expanding baby pump.
Szish said: “We expect Jennifer Lopez to be larger than life, to be more glam than anyone else, to be the ultimate diva on the red carpet.”
Devil Wears Prada star Anne Hathaway was so shocked to learn she had made the list, she thought there must have been a mistake.
Anne – who came sixth – said: “I think they should have a recount but thank you InStyle. That’s really lovely!”

People magazine senior editor Galina Espinoza talked to Access Hollywood about some of this year’s choices.
“Katie Holmes is one of the most remarkable style evolutions. She’s always very simple, very elegant and her clothes fit her perfectly,” Galina said
Then there’s Reese, whose style saw a big boost fresh off her split with Ryan Phillippe.
“All of a sudden she gets divorced and she’s va-va-va-voom on the red carpet,” Galina noted. “But when you look at her, you think ‘Hey, I can look like her too!’”
THE GUYS: When it comes to the men, stars like David Beckham, Johnny Depp, Terrence Howard, Brad Pitt and George Clooney set the male style standard, according to People.
THE COUPLES: And while some stars shine on their own, People’s Best Dressed Couples include Brad & Angelina, Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale, Halle Berry & Gabriel Aubry and Tony Parker & Eva Longoria as those who shine even brighter when they’re together.
MISSED THE MARK: Of course, you can’t have the good without the bad. On the opposite end of the star style spectrum is Bond beauty gone bad Eva Green, who People dubbed the world’s worst dressed star of 2007.
“She was a major ‘What were you thinking?’ every time she stepped out,” Galina said of Green.
STYLE SHOCKERS: Then there are the fashion moments the stars would probably prefer we forget. Britney’s shaved head, Sanjaya’s infamous po-hawk and Cameron Diaz’s handbag that caused a controversy in Peru are just a few of the low lights from People’s Most Shocking Style Moments of the Year.

Actress Drew Barrymore missed her prom in high school but that didn’t stop her from throwing a prom themed party and do it over.
Usmagazine.com reports, Barrymore hosted a 80’s Prom themed birthday party for bestfriend Nancy Juvonen this week in Los Angeles.
“Everyone was dressed in cheesy tuxes and froofy gowns” a source tells. “It was hilarious and outrageous.”
The party was complete with prom photos upon their arrival, Sixteen Candles on loop, and a playlist of all the 80’s hits
This past weekend Hollywood migrated to the Coachella Valley music festival, which took place in Indio, California, and our Hollyscoop snoopers were there to get us the scoop.
Everyone from Paris Hilton, Mischa Barton, Kelly Osbourne, Kimberly Stewart, and Lindsay Lohan all made sure to stop by for the annual music festival. Unfortunately, there weren’t any catfights, not even when Paris Hilton was spotted chatting with Lindsay Lohan’s former boyfriend Harry Morton.
This wasn’t the only time Paris hung out with Harry. Our Hollyscoop snoopers tell us exclusively that the pair hung out at the Armani after hours party at the GQ lounge at the Viceroy hotel. Paris even put on a dance show for a group of guys which included Harry, who sat back and watched.
Other star sightings at the festival included Cameron Diaz hanging out with her Angel Drew Barrymore, Tara Reid, Courtney Love and Jessica Alba with her beau Cash Warren, who were a little too affectionate for the cameras.
On the opening night one of the most anticipated acts was Amy Winehouse, who drew in the largest crowd. The tent wasn’t large enough to accompany all the Winehouse fans. This British star is definitely leaving her mark on America. There was also a lot of buzz surrounding the engagement ring she was sported.
Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson also took the stage performing with Jesus & Mary Chain.
The most visual act was Bjork, who is still a fashion nightmare, but definitely knows how to move the crowd. Other great acts included British import Lily Allen, who closed the festival with a “Smile”.
Drew is celebrating her 32nd birthday in Hawaii. It looks like her and her girlfriends are having a blast at the beach. I have to say for two rich, hot chicks they look pretty average. Just goes to show you with the right makeup and lighting anyone can look great.
